Description

Finely ground true Ceylon cinnamon from Kandy Estate in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It comes farm-direct from a named estate rather than an anonymous exporter, and every harvest is traceable to where it grew.

The powder is ground from the same Alba and C5 grade quills we sell whole: bark peeled by hand and dried on traditional racks on the estate. Ceylon cinnamon is not the same spice as cassia, the usual supermarket "cinnamon". It tastes milder, sweeter and more delicate, and is naturally low in coumarin compared with cassia. Every batch is lab-tested for purity and coumarin content.

Dust it over porridge, fruit or coffee, stir it into baking and desserts, or add a pinch to curries and spice blends.
